Ceramic is not a perfect insulator. If you are sensitive to heat, or like your drinks extra hot - I recommend a handled mug. I do not recommend a handle-less travel mug or a pocket mug.

Wheel-thrown pocket/hand-warming mug. This glaze is beautifully layered and changes in different lighting. The bottom half is a mountain full moon scene. The combination of two glazes over the mountains creates a beautiful horizon. Perfect for your outdoor friend who gets chilly. The capacity is approximately 16/17 ounces (Coffee shop medium/grande). Recommended to choose for your dominant hand (the one you usually use to drink with).

The pocket feels great on your hand, sized to fit small to average-sized hands. Why is this mug so tall? It has to be tall to have enough space to comfortably fit most hands.I have larger hands for a woman and it fits me well. These mugs make a perfect celebratory gift of any kind. Great for the person who is constantly on the go or someone who enjoys cozying up by the fire.

ALL of my glazes are lead-free and food safe; most are my own recipe. All of my items are dishwasher and microwave safe.
